DR. EDWARD A. MAKLER, OPTOMETRIST

Dr. Makler is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Makler attained the rank of Eagle Scout and was a Captain in the United States Air Force and Chief of Optometry at Carswell Air Force Base, Tx. He has been in private practice in Richardson since 1976. He is a member of The American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, the Dallas County Optometric Society and the Air Force Association. Dr. Makler is involved in the "Sight for Students" program providing free eye examinations and free eyewear to children. Dr. Makler has obtained the recognition as a "Therapeutic Optometrist" and and "Optometric Glaucoma Specialist"
The American Board of Optometry(ABO) has certified Dr. Makler as a "Diplomate, American Board of Optometry"
